We are looking for two full time young adults, who loves Jesus Christ and are passionate about college students to serve in our community for the 2020-2021 school year. 


LSU Wesley Foundation is a United Methodist Church student ministry located at the North Gates of Louisiana State University’s campus. Our work environment is focused on our mission, “A community of students living in the way of Jesus”. LSU Wesley hosts a variety of activities for the LSU community each week including but not limited to, weekly free dinner and worship on Wednesday nights, LifeGroups, and student events. In addition to weekly activities, Wesley organizes fall and spring retreats and an annual mission trip. LSU Wesley also serves as an intentional living community for up to fifteen students, and our residents are at the heart of our community. LSU Wesley is one of many Wesley ministries across the United States and we continue to seek relationships with other Wesleys.


  • Interns at the LSU Wesley Foundation are expected to:Design, organize, and oversee weekly Wednesday service consisting of a free dinner and worship night
  • Foster relationships with students in the LSU community who are seeking spiritual growth through personal outreach, on-campus events, and student-organization fairs
  • Host one-on-one meetings with students to support them spiritually and emotionally, and to identify leadership potential in them
  • Support student leadership team and Wesley board by attending meetings and providing staff presence
  • Lead and conduct LifeGroups which can have secular or spiritual content
  • Plan and attend fall and spring retreats and mission trip
  • Create and design content for social media and website to promote upcoming Wesley events
  • Assist and organize fundraising events including but not limited to Wesley Football Parking and fall and spring fundraising campaigns
  • Assist and organize alumni events including Alumni Worship
    Complete daily administrative tasks
  • Assist in leading and managing the LSU Wesley intentional living community
  • Be willing to work with partner churches; may include being present at partner churches on Sunday mornings

Internship Job Description


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Previous participation in a college ministry preferred
  • Previous leadership experience preferred


  • $640 per month
  • Free room and board at The Wesley House
  • Dates of Position: July 1st, 2020 – June 30th, 2021
