Wednesday Night Chapel
Our rhythm of life as a ministry involves worship on Wednesday nights. A free meal is provided at 7pm upstairs at the Wesley followed by worship in the chapel at 8pm. Our student worship team prepares an experience allowing students to draw nearer to God’s presence, experience renewal and clarity and to be empowered to live faithfully. The Wesley Band leads music as we read scripture, hear a message, and encounter contemplative prayer stations around our unique worship space. Communion is a central element for us each week as we share in God’s gift of grace and restoration.
Communion, the Lord’s Supper or Eucharist “Thanksgiving”, is open to all people who seek God. We want all to experience this means of grace from God, if you have a dietary restriction, please let us know.
There is no religious requirement to attend our Wednesday night meal. Whether you attend chapel, dinner, or both, if you are a college student, you are welcome!
Other Worship Resources
Each semester, the Wesley offers several student-led small groups, including studies on books of the Bible and Christian themes. Please check out our small groups page for more information.
During periods when LSU is on break, the Wesley may not hold regular worship services. We hope you will consider attending worship at local area churches and seek out other opportunities to explore faith across our community.
The ancient practice of daily prayer is a wonderful way to keep the rhythm of life, praise, and worship to God. Two resources are Methodist Prayer and UpperRoom devotionals. Practicing daily prayer can change you!
